CODE OF CONDUCT

This code of conduct (the “Code of Conduct”) governs the behavior of players
of Hellgate: London online (the “Game”). Ping0 LLC, Flagship Studios, Inc.,
and their business partners (collectively “Ping0”)have
created these guidelines to safeguard the Game community, and to promote your
enjoyment of the Game. Ping0 may make changes to the Code of Conduct at
any time, and any changes will be posted here. You agree that you will refer
back to this page frequently to check for updates.
ANY VIOLATION OF THIS CODE OF CONDUCT CONSTITUTES A VIOLATION OF THE HELLGATE:
LONDON TERMS OF SERVICE (“TOS”), AND MAY RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION,
INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMIATION THE SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION OF ANY GAME ACCOUNTS
REGISTERED TO AND/OR USED BY YOU, ALONG WITH ANY OTHER REMEDIES AVAILABLE TO
PING0. PING0 HAS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO DETERMINE WHAT CONSTITUTES
INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR AND TO DISCIPLINE PLAYERS ACCORDINGLY.
By using the online component of the Game, you
acknowledge and agree to the following:

While participating in the Game you will respect the rights of others to
play and enjoy the game world as intended by Ping0 and the Game’s
creators, and you will not engage in any unlawful, harassing or offensive
conduct.

You may not (a) solicit personal or sensitive information from any player,
including without limitation full name, contact information, biographical
information, payment information or username and password; or (b) engage
in any phishing scheme.

Role-playing is not an excuse for violations of this Code of Conduct or
the TOS.

You will not exploit Game flaws, bugs, vulnerabilities or any other
weaknesses in the Game.

While participating in the Game, you may not use, publish, solicit or
encourage any vulgar, abusive, sexually explicit, harmful, threatening,
defamatory, obscene, hateful or racially or ethnically offensive content
or language, including without limitation ethnic slurs or religious
epithets. -
You will not organize or participate in any guild or group that is based
on, promotes or tolerates any racist, sexist, or other discriminatory
ideology or behavior, including without limitation any discrimination
based on ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, nationality or other
distinction. -
You will not post website links or URLs in the Game that point to
content that (a) if transmitted in the chat channels, would constitute
a violation of this Code of Conduct; or (b) could harm a player’s
computer, install software surreptitiously, or allow others to gain
unauthorized access to a player’s computer. -
While participating in the Game, you will not violate any law or
regulation, and you may not use the Game to discuss, plan or
facilitate any illegal or tortious conduct, or otherwise use the
Game for any fraudulent purposes of any kind.

You will not use the Game to upload, transmit or
otherwise communicate any copyrighted, trademarked, patented or
proprietary material belonging to any third party.

You will not market, promote, advertise, or solicit real-world products or
services within the Game.

You will not engage in, communicate the intent to engage in or assist
others in the unauthorized purchase or sale of Game items for real-world
consideration. -
You will not encourage, induce, condone, or assist other players,
groups, or guilds to violate any of their agreements with us, including
but not limited to the EULA, TOS or this Code of Conduct. -
You will not provide any false information to Ping0 when registering
an Account (as defined in the TOS), filing a petition, or otherwise
communicating with Ping0 or its representatives. -
You will not impersonate any Game support staff member or other
Ping0 representative. -
You will not mistreat, misinform, or attempt to deceive any
representative or employee of Ping0.

You will not engage in any conduct that prevents any other player from
using or enjoying the game, e.g., by inputting text so quickly that it
makes chat impossible to read, using excessive SHOUTING (all caps) in an
attempt to disturb other players or continuously posting repetitive text. -
Character names and other player-selected names (“Names”) are subject to
this Code of Conduct, including without limitation those provisions
prohibiting the use of vulgar, abusive, sexually explicit, harmful,
threatening, defamatory, obscene, hateful or racially or ethnically
offensive language. In addition to these restrictions, Names cannot
include any of the following:-
The name of any real person or entity, except that you may
incorporate portions of your real name to the extent that someone
could not use that name to identify you. For example, FightingJohn
would be acceptable (though perhaps not cool), whereas John.F.Mason
is prohibited. -
Any word or phrase constituting or resembling a trademark or
service mark. -
Any word or name belonging to or associated with a religious
figure or deity. -
Any word or phrase associated with illegal or tortious conduct
or material, or anything associated with drugs, sex or
alcohol. -
Anything associated with a particular religious or political
belief or viewpoint, e.g., “pro-choice,” “pro-life,” or
“GOPftw” or “YoungDems.” -
A partial or complete sentence, e.g., “IamGreat.”

Gibberish.

Any word(s) constituting or resembling the title of a
person, book or position. -
"Leet" or "Dudespeak," e.g., “gr8Haxxor,”
“omgwtfbbq,” or “newbzrus.”
